Our School

Growing Tree Preschool strives to provide a positive, Christ-centered, stimulating environment for children ages 3 to 5. Developmentally appropriate practices are used to meet the physical, cognitive, spiritual, emotional and social needs of each child.  Shalom Christian Academy has partnered with local churches to provide the Growing Tree Preschool program at: Marion Mennonite Church, King Street Church, Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church, Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, and Antrim Brethren in Christ Church.

Our History 
 

Growing Tree Preschool began in 1999 after much brainstorming, surveying the community, collaboration, and planning! Shalom Christian Academy desired to provide an early education program but did not have the space for it while Marion Mennonite sought to have good stewardship of their building while serving the community. These forces, along with Mrs. Eby’s passion for preschoolers, have continued for over 20 years!  

As the need for early education grew, so did Growing Tree!

2007-World Harvest Outreach (closed 2013)
